Delta Governor Oborevwori Meets Military Team Investigating Killing Of 17 Army Personnel In Okuama Community

This is as the governor continued to express pain and regret over the unfortunate killing of the 17 Nigerian military personnel last month. 

The tragic killing of 17 Nigerian military personnel in Okuama community in Delta State has sparked deep concern and regret, prompting swift action by both state and military authorities.

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed his pain and regret over the incident and emphasized the necessity for a thorough investigation. He received the board of enquiry established by the Nigerian military to investigate the matter at the Delta State government House Annex in Warri.

Governor Oborevwori reiterated the importance of a transparent investigation to ensure that the real culprits behind the crime are identified and held accountable. He assured the board of the state government’s full cooperation and support in carrying out its assignment.

Air Vice Marshal David Ajayi, the chairman of the board, emphasized the importance of gathering information from relevant stakeholders to understand the circumstances leading to the tragedy. He called on the governor to assist the board in its enquiry to ensure that all necessary parties are involved in providing insights into the incident.
