OPEN LETTER TO PAPA

Dear Dr. Paul Enenche,

I hope this letter finds you well. As a respected figure within the community, I feel compelled to address a recent incident that has caused significant distress among members of your congregation.

It is with a heavy heart that I must express my deep concern regarding the treatment of Mrs. Anyim Vera during a recent church service. The manner in which she was publicly humiliated and subsequently dismissed from the pulpit was not only harsh but also deeply disrespectful.

As a legal professional, I am acutely aware of the importance of due process and fair treatment, regardless of one’s linguistic abilities or background. While proficiency in English may be a measure of intelligence in some contexts, it should not serve as the sole criterion for assessing an individual’s worth or capabilities.

Mrs. Anyim Vera, a recent graduate as of April 13, 2024, sought to share her testimony and express her gratitude to God. However, instead of being met with understanding and encouragement, she was met with skepticism and condemnation.

I implore you, Dr. Enenche, to reflect on the impact of your actions and extend a sincere apology to Mrs. Anyim Vera. Moreover, I urge you to rectify this situation by offering her the opportunity to share her testimony in a supportive and respectful environment.

The repercussions of such public humiliation cannot be understated. Beyond the immediate emotional distress, it could potentially have long-lasting effects on Mrs. Anyim Vera’s mental and emotional well-being.

As a leader within the church community, it is incumbent upon you to lead by example and demonstrate compassion and understanding in all your interactions. Let us endeavor to handle such matters with love and humility, mindful of the impact our words and actions may have on others.

I trust that you will give due consideration to this matter and take the necessary steps to address it in a manner befitting of your position and responsibilities.

thank you sir
